As a parent, few things are tougher than seeing your child disappointed after getting cut from their travel team. It hurts to watch them feel like they’ve fallen short. Revolution Basketball Training sees these disappointment as a monumental turning point.
Getting cut isn’t the end of the story — it’s the start of the comeback. It’s the perfect time to shift from playing basketball to truly developing as a basketball player. Team practices are focused on plays and systems, but individual training focuses on what matters most — skills. This is where your child learns how to move efficiently and athletically, improve their ball handling and footwork and develop what they need the most: CONFIDENCE. Basketball requires tremendous skill to be successful and everyone is on their own journey of attaining the skills.
Over the next few months, our focus with these athletes is simple: build the foundation that will make next year’s tryout a completely different experience. Through consistent training, we’ll help them become bigger, faster, stronger, and most importantly — more confident. Every rep in our gym has a purpose. Every drill builds toward the player your child is becoming.
And here’s the best part: when next season rolls around, your athlete won’t just be hoping to make the team — they’ll know they’ve earned their spot. Because while others took time off, they stayed locked in, putting in real work that shows up when it matters.
Through the years we’ve seen athletes bounce back stronger after being cut — and many go on to thrive at higher levels than they ever imagined. This is the time to invest in their growth, both as players and as people.
Let’s turn the setback into a setup for success.
